Alliance contracting

Alliance contracting is a Victorian policy that follows the Commonwealth policies.

The contract links government with private suppliers for infrastructure projects. Both parties are responsible for the risks of delivering the project. Financial responsibility for the project is with the state.

Key features:

  • both parties need to work together in good faith.
  • both parties decisions must be best for the project
  • both parties work in an integrated, collaborative way
