The Construction Supplier Register prequalification scheme lists pre-qualified suppliers that have demonstrated they possess the necessary expertise, management systems and financial capacity to undertake works or construction related services for Victorian Government construction projects.
Suppliers listed on the Construction Supplier Register are eligible to be invited to tender for Victorian Government construction projects.
The Construction Supplier Register is structured into two two main sections for:
- suppliers of construction works, such as builders
- suppliers of construction related services, such engineers and architects.
Each section is divided into categories defining areas of expertise and competency.

Coming soon: New IT platform, the Construction Supplier Register Portal
The Construction Supplier Register’s new IT platform, the Construction Supplier Register Portal, is in the final stages of development. It will replace the current Lotus Notes-based system making it easier for Victorian Government and state agency users of the Construction Supplier Register to search, identify, shortlist and access registered supplier information, including supplier performance reports (where Victorian government departments and state agencies have provided them).
Launch of the new portal is expected by the end of June 2024 with further updates to be published on the Construction Supplier Register's homepage.
From 31 May 2024, the Construction Supplier Register is not accepting any new applications for pre-qualification until the new portal is live.
From 14 June 2024, the Construction Supplier Register’s public register will be retired. Registered Victorian Government users of the Construction Supplier Register, with a paid membership, will have ongoing access to the full database of information about registered construction works and services suppliers.
